The first phase of Wickersley Parish Council's major redevelopment of Wickersley Park is now 'Open for Play'
Delayed by the Covid-19 Lockdown, work was completed to get the new play area up and running in time for children to use and enjoy in the August school holidays. Wickersley Parish Council led the local community to create a colourful 'Rainbow Roundabout' to show their appreciation to NHS and other key workers who have looked after the people of Wickersley during the Covid-19 emergency. The ribbons, pom-poms, rainbows and other tributes have now been taken down. They have been used some to make 'Thank You' Certificates and Tokens for Wickersley Covid-19 heroes... Read More »

Following on from the success of the Parish's VE75 Poppy Trail and building on the popularity of local and family walks, Wickersley Parish Council created a 'Locations Trail'. The Trail picked out landmarks around the village and combined them with historical facts, information and local stories – the Trail has enabled everyone to learn a little more about their village.
